4th Int’l conference on STI 4.0 begin at Green University
A two-day long 4th international Conference on Sustainable Technologies on Industry-STI 4.0 begin on Saturday (17 December) at the permanent campus of Green University of Bangladesh. GUB’s Faculty of Science and Engineering organized the international conference with a view to get ready for facing challenges of fourth industrial revolution. Professor Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Chairman of Bangladesh Accreditation Council-BAC inaugurated the programme as the chief guest while GUB Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Md Golam Samdani Fakir presided over. Prof Dr. Md Abdur Razzaque, General Chair of the Conference Professor of the Dept. of CSE, University of Dhaka; Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer of GUB; Prof Dr. Md Saiful Azad, Organizing Chair and Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, GUB; spoke in the inauguration ceremony of the conference respectively. Addressing at the ceremony, Prof. Mesbahuddin Ahmed discussed on the strategies to face the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution and making bridge between the industry and academia. He said, the fourth industrial revolution is a challenge for us. So, we want to turn the challenge into possibility through adopting modern technologies in education system. GUB VC Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir said, The key objective of this conference is to create a focal point for the presentation and debate of related research findings both from the industry and academia. I believe that the scientific and engineering research agenda aimed at sustainable technology development is timely. He expected, by this conference Researchers will get an opportunity to create collaboration among themselves and produce quality research outputs. General Chair of the Conference Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque said, STI-2022 is the first conference in Southeast Asia on Sustainable Technologies for Industry 4.0. In addition, it is the most comprehensive technical conference in the country focusing on Industry 4.0 and its applications at home and abroad.
